RF Power Transistors
RF power transistors are the active semiconductor devices used to build RF power stages. A device is evaluated together with its bias network, matching network and thermal path, because delivered RF power depends on package behavior, load impedance and operating waveform.
Typical use
They are used in driver stages, final amplifier stages, pulsed transmitters, industrial RF sources and broadband or narrowband power modules.
Engineering data
Relevant records normally include frequency range, rated output power, gain, drain or collector voltage, current, efficiency, load-pull conditions, package parasitics, junction temperature and thermal resistance.
