Transceiver front-end modules
Transceiver front-end modules organize the RF hardware used when transmit and receive paths share an antenna, connector set or compact radio interface. The module may include T/R switching, duplexing or filtering, low-noise receive gain, transmit drive, limiters, couplers, detectors and monitored control lines.
Shared TX/RX behavior
Important data includes operating band, TX/RX isolation, insertion loss, return loss, receive noise contribution, transmit leakage, switching speed, recovery time, power handling, protection threshold, control timing, connector format and thermal path. These values affect link margin, receiver survivability, spectral cleanliness and channel repeatability in compact radios, transceiver assemblies, telemetry hardware and RF test fixtures.
