Up converter modules

Up converter modules move a lower-frequency, IF or baseband signal to a higher RF or microwave output band. They form the frequency-translation stage in transmitters, exciters and test sources where the final signal must be placed at a specified carrier frequency.

Transmit-path frequency translation

Important data includes input frequency range, output frequency range, LO frequency and drive level, conversion gain or loss, output power, linearity, harmonic and spurious response, phase noise contribution, impedance, control interface and environmental limits. These values affect radar exciters, satellite uplinks, communication transmitters, frequency-agile RF sources and microwave test platforms.
