Communication front-end assemblies
Communication front-end assemblies combine selected RF functions around the point where a radio chain meets the antenna path. Depending on the design, the assembly may include filters, switches, low-noise or driver gain stages, protection, couplers, detectors and controlled interconnect.
Radio interface behavior
Important data includes operating band, channel spacing, insertion loss, rejection, TX/RX isolation, noise contribution, linearity, power handling, switching method, control interface, connector format and thermal path. These values affect link budget, receive sensitivity, transmitted spectral quality and maintainability in cellular, private-radio, microwave backhaul, satellite-ground and secure communication systems.
